PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of improving adhesive strength between a liquid crystal panel and a backlight unit, a manufacturing method of the liquid crystal display device, and electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The backlight unit 20 has a mainframe 17 which supports an optical sheet. A SUS board 18 made of a material (SUS) with higher surface energy than resin material forming the mainframe 17 is integrally formed on the mainframe 17 so as to project to the inner circumference of the mainframe 17. By fixing the liquid crystal panel 10 and the SUS board 18 with an adhesive tape 30, the adhesive strength of the liquid crystal panel 10 and the backlight unit 20 is improved.
