PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid bearing device having stable bearing performance while reducing a leakage trouble of operating fluid to the outside, and having high productivity while eliminating the need for phase focusing between a communication passage and a fluid reservoir portion. SOLUTION: Between a cover area 7a and a sleeve 2, a first fluid reservoir space portion 14 is integrally formed on a sleeve component which has the communication passage 6 communicating the open end of the sleeve 2 with the closed end thereof.
