The method involves applying parting agent (132) on an upper surface (122) of the rock components (112) before applying a joint mortar. The jointing material (114) remains uncovered to a large extent from a parting agent. The parting agent is selected to decrease an adhesion between joint mortar having a hydraulic bonding agent, particularly cement, lime, mortar or concrete and upper surface of rock components. The parting agent has a natural or synthetic wax, a vegetable or mineral oil, a fatty acid, a triglyceride, an alcohol, synthetic oil, a plant or natural fat, scarf oil or a polymer.
