<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device capable of stably generating a discharge to improve luminance by reestablishing an address period and a sustain period according to a load ratio of a subfield. <P>SOLUTION: The plasma display device includes: a plurality of discharge cells; a controller that divides one frame into a plurality of subfields and establishes an address period and a sustain period in the respective subfields according to a subfield load ratio indicating a ratio of light-emitting cells in the respective subfields; and a driver that selects a light-emitting cell among the plurality of discharge cells during the established address period and sustain-discharges the light-emitting cell during the established sustain period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
