<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device, an image processor, and an image processing method that reduce quantization noise in real time with respect to an image signal received by a display device. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor is provided with a change-amount calculation part 5, which calculates a gradation difference between pixels adjacent to each other in one-dimensional direction in a spatial direction of an image signal A as a gradation variable B, a variable restriction part 6 for restricting the allowable range of the variable B calculated by the variable calculation part 5, an inclination determination part 7 for calculating an inclination of a gradation of the image signal from a variable C whose value is restricted, an additional-bit generation part 8 for generating additional bits E on the basis of the inclination D of the image signal calculated by the inclination determination part 7, a bit addition part 10, which adds the additional bits E generated by the additional-bit generation part 8 to an image signal F generated by delaying the image signal A by a delay part 9 so as to output an image signal G with the additional bits E added thereto, and a display part 4 for displaying the image signal G outputted by the bit addition part 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
