<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector with which an area where video light is not projected can be reduced while being configured such that a shading object is not directly irradiated with the video light, and a viewer can easily view the area which is not shielded with the shading object in a projected area. <P>SOLUTION: The projector 1 includes: an apparatus main body 50; a DMD 14 for projecting a video onto a screen 100; a CCD 16 for detecting the contour of a shadow of the shading object located between the apparatus main body 50 and the screen 100, which is projected onto the screen 100; and a first control part 41 for controlling the DMD 14 so as to perform projection in a state that the inside of the contour of the shadow of the shading object is removed on the basis of information of the contour of the shadow of the shading object detected by the CCD 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
