<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generating apparatus which does not use high-pressure hydrogen, does not require a high-pressure cylinder or a high-pressure station, does not require an electrode of an expensive material such as platinum or titanium plated with platinum, and also has high efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen generating apparatus includes: a positive electrode package provided with a positive electrode composed of platinum-plated titanium or stainless steel, a diaphragm and an electrolyte; and a negative electrode cartridge provided with a negative electrode composed of magnesium-containing amphoteric metal and an electrolyte, and the negative electrode cartridge is mounted to the positive electrode package in a freely attachable and detachable manner so as to be contacted therewith. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
