<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital video data reproduction apparatus (hereinafter referred to as apparatus) for decoding a plurality of video coding streams (hereinafter referred to as streams) and simultaneously displaying video images based on the respective streams, the apparatus performing the above simultaneous display where a quality of the video images is maintained, using one video decoder even without having high decoding processing capability and a large capacity memory. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 100 has, for each stream, key frame search parts 13, 14 which search for key frames. In addition, the apparatus 100 further has: a coded data extraction part 15 which extracts, for other streams except a main stream among the plurality of streams, for example, a key frame and the plurality of streams following it; and a video coding stream compositing part 16 which inserts and composites the extracted stream immediately before the key frame in the main stream.
