<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize accurate expansion and spreading-out of an airbag even with narrow space between a steering handle rim and a passenger in collision. <P>SOLUTION: An airbag device 20 for use in a vehicle includes the airbag 23 disposed at the center of the steering handle 10 with a rotatable rim 13 to expand and spread out between the steering handle 10 and the passenger in collision to bind the passenger and an inflator 24 disposed in front of the rim to supply an inflating gas into the airbag 23 in collision.
