<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element in which a positional deviation of a spacer is reduced and the gap is excellently uniform, and which is produced at a low cost and high yield. <P>SOLUTION: A red coloring layer 12, a green coloring layer 11, and a blue coloring layer 10, which constitute a coloring layer of a TFT array substrate 4, are arranged in stripes, wherein on the green coloring layer 11 a structure 1 for spacer mounting is arranged in a position falling outside a through hole 20. Ink remains on a protrusion of the structure 1 for spacer mounting owing to its surface tension which the ink 3 before vaporization has. The spacer 2 is also brought to a section on which the ink 3 remains and further is dried and shrinks resulting from the surface tension. Consequently the spacer 2 is transferred to the structure 1 for spacer mounting on which the ink 3, which is shrinking due to vaporization, remains as a liquid until the very last time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
