<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RF tag system in which a communication distance can be set more flexibly, without taking the trouble to perform management of battery replacement, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: An RF tag 1 is equipped with a power generator 4 which generate electric power for operation of itself from a carrier transmitted from a reader/writer and a power storage unit 5 which accumulates the electric supply power for the operation, and is configured to execute, as an operation mode, a passive mode wherein the RF tag operates with electric power supplied from the power generator 4 to answer on a back-scatter basis and an active mode, wherein the RF tag operates with electric power supplied from the power storage unit 5 to answer by modulating a carrier to be transmitted by itself. When the reader/writer transmits a command specifying an answering system, the RF tag 1 transmits an answer signal, including a tag ID and information showing the power storage amount of the power storage unit 5 by an answering system, specified on the basis of the power storage amount, on the condition that the answer system be executable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
