<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating container which has a high-performance vacuum insulating material around a cubic container and enables heat loss to be minimized, and also to provide a manufacturing method for the same. <P>SOLUTION: The heat insulating container 10 for keeping the temperature of liquid and storing it includes a resin inner container 20 having inflow and outflow parts 21, 21 for the liquid, an interior material 30 and an exterior material 50 for storing the inner container 20 and for forming a gas barrier layer around it, and a heat insulating space 40 in a reduced pressure state with a heat insulating material 41 sealed between the interior material 30 and the exterior material 50. Flange members 60, 60 are circumferentially mounted to the inflow and outflow parts 21, 21.
