PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform certainly and simply an emergency stop for a mobile robot during power supply, in a power supply system for a robot which comprises the mobile robot capable of moving independently and a power supply to supply electric power to the mobile robot. SOLUTION: A power supply system for a robot comprises a mobile robot and a fixed-type power supply section to supply electric power to the mobile robot, in which an emergency stop circuit on the power supply side and a circuit operating section to operate the emergency stop circuit on the power supply side are independently provided at the fixed-type power supply section, an emergency stop circuit on the robot side and a switch to operate the emergency stop circuit on the robot side are independently provided at the mobile robot, and the emergency stop circuit on the robot side is operable by constituting the emergency stop circuit on the robot side so as to be electrically connected to the circuit operating section to operate the emergency stop circuit on the power supply side when electric power is supplied from the fixed-type power supply section to the mobile robot.
