PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate transmission path characteristics with high accuracy by an OFDM receiver for receiving an OFDM signal modulated by OFDM. SOLUTION: A pilot detecting means 13 detects a pilot carrier signal, a first interpolation processing means 14 detects transmission path characteristics at the location of a data carrier signal by executing the interpolation process in the carrier direction using a narrow band LPF, a second interpolation processing means 15 detects transmission path characteristics at the location of the data carrier signal by executing the interpolation process in the carrier direction using a broad band LPF, interference wave detecting means 11, 12 detect state of the interference waves and select a result of processing by the first interpolation processing means when a selecting means 16 determines that the frequency-selective interference wave does not exist and also select a result of processing by the second interpolation processing means when the selecting means 16 determines that the frequency-selective interference wave exists, and an equalization processing means 17 equalizes the receiving signal.
