PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a vending machine, making operation of an illumination means of a commodity sample panel change when purchasing a commodity. SOLUTION: By controlling illumination or a commodity display space by a commodity display space illumination control means 22 based on decision of a salable decision means 21, the commodity sample panel corresponding to a salable commodity by deposition or the like is illuminated to be brightened, and the commodity sample panel corresponding to a non-salable commodity is not illuminated to be darkened.
