PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll paper holder with beautiful outside appearance, which permits easy replenishment of rolls and easy cutting of paper from a roll, without impairing the easiness in cutting when the roll becomes thin. SOLUTION: The roll paper holder includes a sheet-like member 1 having a main plate part 2, a hanging plate part 3 and a paper cutting plate part 4 disposed obliquely front downward; a bracket 5 fixed to the sheet-like member and having a bearing through hole 6; a roll holder rod 7 having a support shaft part 8 inserted into the bearing through hole and a roll holder shaft part 9 parallel to the support shaft part; and a torsion coil spring mounted inside the bracket to urge the roll holder shaft part to approach the front lower face of the main plate part.
