THE WHEEL FOR ROLLER SKATES AND THE LIKE

The invention can be used for roller skates, skis and other sports apparatus for traveling on rollers. The main feature of the wheel is that there are rolling bodies mounted in two closed circular grooves, each of the grooves being formed at the interface between outer edge surface and one of lateral surfaces of the wheel. Each of said rolling bodies is mounted so that it is partially embraced by the interior surface of the groove, the axis of rotation of a rolling body being perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the wheel. The technical result of the invention consists in realization of braking on roller skates (or other roller sport apparatus) by means of a method similar to that used in connection with ice skates. The wheel design according to the invention provides the imitation of ice and skate interaction during the starting period. The invention provides quick, smooth and convenient for user braking. The result of the invention is that the braking by means of this method is provided for the variety of the user speed and wide range of angles of inclination of the user and therefore the skate during braking.
