<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire information useful for marketing from the line of sight of a customer. <P>SOLUTION: This merchandise selling device 1 is provided with a merchandise sample display part 20 for identifiably displaying merchandise under sales; a camera 11 for photographing a section including at least the face of a customer; and an information processor 10 for acquiring and processing a video photographed by the camera 11. The information processor 10 detects the line of sight of a customer by analyzing the direction of the face and the position of the pupil of the customer included in a video acquired from the camera 11, and detects the merchandise sample display part 20 gazed by the detected line of sight of the customer, determines the customer attribute of the customer on the basis of the history information of the merchandise shown by the merchandise sample display part 20 gazed by the customer, and generates gazed merchandise data by totaling the number of times of gazing about the merchandise which is not purchased by the customer.
