<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of detecting leakage of exhaust gas from an upstream side connecting tube of a differential pressure sensor in a particulate filter and estimating the leakage amount to correct an estimated value of particulate matter accumulating amount to the particulate filter. <P>SOLUTION: The control device for the internal combustion engine calculates, based on two exhaust gas flow rates and estimated values of the particulate matter accumulating amount acquired within a predetermined time, a difference between the accumulating amount estimated value with the larger exhaust gas flow rate and the accumulating amount estimated value with the smaller exhaust gas flow rate. When the difference is larger than a predetermined threshold value, a determination means determines that exhaust gas is leaked from the upstream side connecting tube 10 of the diesel particulate filter (DPF) 6. Moreover, the control device estimates the leakage amount, and performs lighting of a warning lamp 14 and change in EGR amount by an EGR valve 13 etc. in accordance with the degree of the leakage amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
