<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accounting management device and accounting management method capable of properly performing accounting management even when a communication failure occurs between a device to be an accounting target and the accounting management device. <P>SOLUTION: The accounting management device has jobs requesting means for requesting a device to execute a job through a network and recording a list of the requested jobs in a storage device, an accounting means for accounting target information that can identify an accounting target in the storage device about a job whose completion has been confirmed in the list of the jobs through the network, and a failure recovery detection means for detecting when a failure of the network occurs, wherein the charging means acquires information of jobs whose accounting target information is not recorded in the list of the jobs from the device in accordance with the failure recovery, and records the accounting target information about a job determined to have been completed on the basis of the information of the job. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
