<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment for preventing the erroneous detection of a motion vector, and a motion vector detection method in the electronic equipment and its program. <P>SOLUTION: A video feature detection part 4 searches a search block Bm whose residual value En with a reference block Bn is minimized by block matching processing in each frame spacing separated by 1 frame, 10 frames, 20 frames and 30 frames from a reference frame 71, and detects a motion vector in each frame spacing, and estimates a motion vector in a 40 frame spacing based on each detected motion vector. In this case, the video feature detection part 4 judges whether or not moving quantity Vn and the residual value En between the reference block Bn and the searched search block Bm exceed respective prescribed values, and when the moving amount Vn and the residual value En exceed respective threshold, the detection data of the search block Bm is not adopted to motion vector estimation processing.
