PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photonic crystal wavelength filter device that operates as an add/drop filter which is easily designed. SOLUTION: The photonic crystal wavelength filter 10 is composed of a droplet type rod 20 which is point defects of a photonic crystal and which has a circular arc shape at both ends, one or more resonators 3 which use the point defects of the photonic crystal, and two input/output waveguides 1, 2 which use line defects of the photonic crystal. The resonators 3 are arranged between the two input/output waveguides 1, 2, with the droplet type rod 20 lined up in the same direction in plurality (one or more) to form coupled sections 4. The coupled sections 4, with the small radius side of the droplet type rod facing the resonators 3, are arranged in the two input/output waveguides 1, 2 in the manner oppositely facing each other.
