The invention relates to a device (2) for conforming the skin of a bodywork (1) made of a plastic material around the optical block of the automobile, the skin including at least one opening (1a) for receiving the optical bock. The device includes an optional attachment means (5) to the optical block as well as two parts (6a, 6b) mobile relative to each other. Each part is attached to the skin at the edge of the opening thereof and includes an attachment means that is mutual with the other side and a contact interface (9a, 9b) with the optical block. The contact interface (9a) of at least one part (6a) is arranged so that once all the optional attachment means (5) of the device are in place, the other part (6b) can be freely moved away from the optical block if the two parts (6a, 6b) are no longer attached together by their mutual attachment means.
