HANDOVER SYSTEM IN WIRELESS MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF

A handover system in a wireless mobile communication system and a method thereof are provided to realize the enhanced and simplified authentication procedure in the handover by using a CMAC(Cipher based Message Authentication Code) value. A mobile station(300) determines whether the handover condition is satisfied or not. If so, the mobile station transmits a handover request message(MOB_MSHO-REQ: Mobile MShandover Request) to a serving base station(310)(301). Here, a target base station 1(320) and target base station 2(330) are base stations to which the mobile station is handed over. Therefore, in the MOB MSHO-REQ message, the information indicating the target base station 1 and the information indicating the target base station 2 are included. The information can become identifiers of each target base station.
