<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recording information and an information recording device, with which deterioration of archival overwriting characteristics in high speed recording is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for recording information, in which a laser beam power is controlled with at least three values corresponding to respective pulses of a heating pulse, a cooling pulse, and a canceling pulse, and predetermined information is recorded with a plurality of kinds of record marks with mutually different lengths formed by irradiating the optical information recording medium alternately with the heating pulse and the cooling pulse and with spaces formed between the record marks by irradiating it with the canceling pulse, a power of the first heating pulse is set to a value higher than those of the second and subsequent heating pulses of the record mark formed by irradiation with pulses including a plurality of heating pulses, and further a pre-cooling pulse with a power lower than that of the canceling pulse is arranged before the first heating pulse. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
