<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag for side impact, and an airbag device for side impact capable of improving forward deploying performance when inflating and deploying. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device comprises a chest chamber B arranged at the upper part, and regulating movement of the occupant's chest, a waist chamber W arranged at the lower part and regulating the movement of the occupant's waist, and an intermediate chamber M positioned between both of the chambers W, B. The airbag device has a communication path R2 for communicating with the chest chamber B and the intermediate chamber M at a front side in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and a dither cross 26 arranged between the two chambers B, M for introducing gas from an inflator 2 to the communication path R2 by partitioning the chambers B, M communicated by the communication path R2 at a rear side in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
