863,126. Spacing overhead conductors apart. PERRONE, A., and SALVI, A. Feb. 20, 1958 [May 14, 1957], No. 5603/58. Addition to 739,796. Class 36. A flexible, curvilinear member for spacing apart conductors of overhead transmission lines is secured to the conductors by clamps each of which is integral with or secured to the member and adapted to be independently secured to a conductor. As shown in Fig. 5, the flexible member 1 is clamped between half-shells 7, 8 and the conductors C between half-shells 9, 10; the half-shells 8, 9 form a single body. As shown in Fig. 1, each clamp consists of a half-shell 2 cast around the flexible member 1 and a separate half-shell (not shown) for clamping around the conductor. The half-shell 2 may also be formed integrally with the member 1, Fig. 7 (not shown). The flexible member and clamps may be covered with or formed wholly from plastics. |
