PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic band gap structure for blocking the transfer of a signal of a predetermined frequency bandwidth capable of reducing the noise of a predetermined frequency since it has a low band gap frequency though it has a small size and a printed-circuit board containing the same. SOLUTION: An electromagnetic band gap structure includes a metal layer, a dielectric layer laminated on the metal layer, two ore more metal plates laminated on the same plane on the dielectric layer, and a stitching via for connecting the adjacent metal plates. The stitching via penetrates the dielectric layer. A portion of the stitching via is positioned on the same plane as the metal layer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
