PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display excellent in shock resistance. SOLUTION: This display has first and second rectangular substrates arranged facing each other via liquid crystals, a first sealant sealing the liquid crystals and also fixing the second substrate to the first substrate, and a liquid crystal drive circuit disposed on the first substrate outside the sealant sealing the liquid crystals. The second substrate has counter sides facing the corners of the first substrate at the side edge of the surface where the liquid crystal drive circuit is disposed and at the both sides of the liquid crystal drive circuit, and a cutout formed at a part facing the liquid crystal drive circuit. Further, a second sealant is arranged at least at a part between the corners of the first substrate and the counter side of the second substrate facing the corner of the first substrate.
