摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel engine improving fuel economy and noise reduction while preventing deterioration in exhaust gas property by using kerosine as fuel oil. SOLUTION: A pilot injection amount ratio occupying a total injection amount of fuel oil is 5% or more and 25% or less, preferably, 5% or more and 20% or less. Injection timing of the fuel oil is from a time where a center axis of spray fuel oil is not in contact with a cylinder wall of a cylinder up to 20°before a top dead center, preferably, 40°before the top dead center to 25°before the top dead center. A time where 5% of the fuel oil acquired from a heat generation rate in a cylinder is burnt is from 5°before the top dead center to 5°after the top dead center, in a crank angle.
