PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel capable of effectively absorbing an impact by easily deforming a core metal at a collision of a vehicle while maintaining the decoration freedom of a garnish. SOLUTION: The steering wheel is provided with the core metal in which a boss connected to a steering shaft is connected to a rim by a plurality of spokes and the garnish 3. The garnish 3 has a decoration part 30 attached with operation parts 21-23; and a first fixing part 33 and a second fixing part 34 for fixing the decoration part 30 to different portions of the spoke 11. Further, at base ends of the fixing parts 33, 34 at the decoration part 30, thin parts 43, 48 becoming separation inducing parts for separating the decoration part 30 from the first fixing part 33 or the second fixing part 34 accompanied by the deformation of the core metal at the collision of the vehicle are formed.
