PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable winning device for a game machine and a game machine using the same, which easily prevent fraudulence of intentionally opening a rotator in the closed state, which simplify the structure of a transmission mechanism for transmitting the power from a plunger of a solenoid to the rotator, and which improve the durability of the solenoid by controlling the power consumption and the calorific power. SOLUTION: The winning device 5 comprises a rotating vane 10 (the rotator) for opening/closing a winning pocket; the self-holding solenoid 20 disposed in such a way that the plunger 21 is linearly displaced in the front/rear direction; and the transmission mechanism 30 disposed between the rotary vane 10 and the self-holding solenoid 20 to transmit the drive of the plunger 21 to the rotary vane 10. The transmission mechanism 30 closes the rotary vane 10 when a head part 22 of the plunger 21 of the self-holding solenoid 20 is at a retracted position, and opens the rotary vane 10 when the head part 22 is at a projecting position.
