METHOD OF RETRANSMISSION TO REDUCE THE OVERHEAD IN WIRELESS ACCESS SYSTEM

A method of retransmission to reduce the overhead in wireless access system is provided to save the radio resource by retransmitting the packet through the retransmission domain. An initial control message including the information required for the re-transmission of packet is received from a base station(S601). The packet for the service is transmitted from the base station(S602). The NACK(Non-Acknowledgment) signal is received from the base station(S603). The packet corresponding to the NACK signal is retransmitted to the base station by using the necessary information which is included in the initial control message(S604). The packet corresponding to the NACK signal is retransmitted through the retransmission domain allocated for the re-transmission of packet. The information required for the re-transmission of packet comprises the resource allocation region area information for the re-transmission of packet, MCS(Modulation and Coding Scheme) level information or transmission time.
