HYBRID TYPE SUPERCONDUCTING FAULT CURRENT LIMITER

A hybrid superconducting fault current limiter is provided to prevent malfunction by removing a remaining arc current or operating a circuit breaker in no-load state. A superconductor(1) and a circuit breaker(2a) are wired in series. A driving unit is composed of a driving coil(2b) and an electromagnetic repulsive plate(2c). A short circuit contact point(2d) is wired in parallel. A parallel circuit composed of the driving unit and a short circuit contact point is serially wired in a current limiting device(3). A series circuit is composed of the superconductor and the circuit breaker. The series circuit and the circuit composed of a driving coil, a short circuit contact, and a current limiting element are connected in parallel. A semiconductor device switch for power is connected to a series circuit and is off by a trouble detection signal.
