<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize null symbol detection under a fading environment. <P>SOLUTION: A synchronous add buffer group 12 is provided at a later stage of a oscillation detection unit 11 to synchronously add a reception signal of OFDM with a repetition cycle of a null symbol. A moving average processing unit 14 moving average calculates the synchronous add data with the number of samples equivalent to the null symbol width to output a moving average value. A transmission mode determination unit 16 detects a minimum value of normalized moving average values and compares the level of each minimum value to determine the reception mode.
