<p>The method involves controlling commutation of a phase of an electric motor e.g. brushless direct current motor, with different signal levels e.g. Pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal, high impedance TriState signal and static Low signal levels. Intermediate signal levels are assigned to intermediate steps, which are switched between the individual signal levels during controlling, where the intermediate signal levels correspond to half of the signal level of the PWM signal. Hall-sensors (H1-H3) are used for releasing the commutations. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for controlling an electric motor (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions to perform a method for controlling the electric motor.</p> |
