<p>The opener (1) has a cutting tool (3) comprising a circular cutter (5) pressed on a tin cap of a tin (4). The tin is mounted on a mounting device (2) so that the cutter is pressed on a surface of the tin cap for cutting the cap along a parting line. The mounting device is arranged to mount the tin along a part of a fold of the tin cap, and includes openings for accommodating the tin. The cutter has cutting points so that regions of the tin cap are cut by the cutting points during pressing of the cutter on the tin cap. An independent claim is also included for a method for opening a tin.</p> |
