A system and a method for measuring the inner diameter of a ring gear are provided to improve the reliability in the size measurement of a ring gear regardless of the surface states of a ring gear. A link bar(500) is mounted on an inner surface of a ring gear(100) mounted to a flywheel. A laser sensor(200) is driven by a laser sensor driving unit(300) to radiate laser beams to the link bar for receiving light receiving data. An operation part(410) operates a measured inner diameter value of the ring gear according to the light receiving data. A control part(420) controls the operation of the laser sensor driving unit.
