A method for determining the effect of cereal varieties on the number of phytopathogens includes germinating the seed in water and a hydrogen dioxide solution, infecting the seedlings by exposure of an aqueous fungal suspension in a coarse-grained substrate. According to the method, a variety is assessed based on the effect on the intensity of forming infectious structures of a fungus calculating the number of pycnidia, conidia and mass of the mycelium of the fungus which are formed on damaged stem tissue. |
