A method for correcting error of a portable terminal through an administrator mode and the portable terminal having an error correcting function through the administrator mode are provided to connect the portable terminal remotely by an administrator mode when error occurs in the portable terminal to correct the error. When error is generated in a portable terminal, an error log is transmitted to a management server(310,320). Wireless connection between the portable terminal and the management server is set(330). The portable terminal enters an administrator mode through set wireless connection(340). A function of the administrator mode selected from the management server is performed to correct error of the portable terminal(350).
