A contents offering service system during call waiting and a method for providing contents during call waiting by using the same are provided to supply music and living information to a caller waiting for a service, thereby enabling the caller to spend a waiting time profitably. A subscriber management system(110) stores music and subscriber information to be subscribed to a living information guide service. A contents management system receives contents that a caller processes from a receiver or selects one of various contents produced by a contents selection request of the caller and processes and manages the one. A content management server(120) receives the music and living contents and processes and manages the music and living contents according to the subscriber information. A media server(150) stores the music and living information, transmits a guide message related to the music and living information guide service to the caller and transmits specific music and living information according to the guide message based on the request of the caller to the caller terminal.
