A rear lamp 1 assembly comprises a housing 3 containing a light source and a covering pane 6 is detachable from a vehicle's bodywork by means of a fixing arrangement including two interlocking, detachable parts 9, 10. When the lamp 1 is removed, for the purposes of bulb replacement, one of the parts 10 remains on the lamp housing 2 and the other 9 remains secured to the bodywork of the vehicle by means of a threaded bolt 11. The lamp can be easily replaced by aligning the two parts and snapping them together. The other end of the lamp may be fixed by threaded bolts 7, 8 and the part 10 may be formed within the housing 3. The assembly permits easy removal of the lamp from inside the vehicle boot or trunk, despite the presence of other vehicle components or trim. |
