As an auto-folding type outside mirror apparatus and a control method thereof, the outside mirror is folded with the driving part when the signal outputted in the first relay is input, and spread when the signal outputted in the second relay is input by the DRL(Daytime Running Light) signal. An auto-folding type outside mirror apparatus comprises the DRL unit(100) outputting the lamp on/off signal according to the engine of vehicle starting; the controller(110) outputting the control signal corresponding to according to the decision result according to the output signal of DRL, driving or the parking condition is determined; the relay(120) corresponding to the control signal outputted from controller and is switched; and the driving part(130) operating the outside mirror with the switching of relay.
