Marker genes for screening of drug inducing pulmonary toxicity are provided to monitor the drug or chemical substance having the risk of new lung toxicity or determine the risk of the drug or chemical substance, and identify the mechanism causing lung toxicity caused by carbamazepine and side effects. The marker gene for screening of drug inducing pulmonary toxicity comprises the gene selected from the group consisting of the asparagine synthetase gene(Genebank NM 133436 B), the brain-derived neurotrophic factor opposite strand gene(Genebank NM 170735 B), the cyclin D2 gene(Genebank NM 001759 B), the gene(Genebank NM 005318 B)(H1 histone family, member 0), gene(Genebank NM 000575 Bs)(Interleukin 1, alpha), and the gene(Genebank NM 000600 B)[Interleukin 6(interferon, beta 2)].
