<p>The method involves providing individual images continuously showing a vehicle front end, by an image acquisition device (8) of a monitoring device. Differential images are produced and evaluated from one individual image and a temporarily recorded individual image for an obstacle e.g. stationary object, detection, or vectors of an optical flow of image information of a portion of pixels of two individual images that are recorded temporarily and successively and composed of the pixels, is determined and evaluated for the obstacle detection.</p> |
