An apparatus for synthesizing a carbon nanotube is provided to delay that catalyst of powdered form is supplied, improve yield and efficiency of whole carbon nanotube by reacting consecutively supplied catalyst particle and source gas and to react the catalyst and source gas. An apparatus(100) for synthesizing a carbon nanotube contains a reaction chamber(200), a catalyst supply part(300) for supplying catalyst of powdered form inside the reaction chamber to a first direction and a source gas supply part(500) supplying source gas for reacting to catalyst inside the reaction chamber in order to delay supply of the catalyst to a second direction. The first direction is a direction from a top part of the reaction chamber to a lower part of the reaction chamber. The second direction is a direction from a lower part of the reaction chamber to a top part of the reaction chamber. The apparatus catalyst supply part includes a blow nozzle spraying the catalyst from a lower part of the reaction chamber to a top part of the reaction chamber.
