A contact type detector of a tongue rail is provided to allow an engineer of a train to confirm whether a tongue rail adheres closely to a stock rail in person and to prevent a safety accident by malfunction of the detector in advance. A contact type detector of a tongue rail comprises: a main body(110) installed in a stock rail corresponding to a tongue rail; a sliding axis(120) in which an end part is contacted with the tongue rail and which is installed in the main body to be sliding back and forth; a micro switch(150) installed in inside the main body; a manipulation part(130) installed in the sliding axis in order to manipulate the micros witch according to displacing the tongue rail; and a first elastic member making the sliding axis elastic bias toward the tongue rail.
