The invention relates toagriculture, namely to veterinary, in particular to method for assessing stress status in the pigs. According to the method, Oleum Terebinthinae is injected into the middle part of the external surface of the ear. The diameter of the papule is then measured in 1, 3, 6, and 24 hours. Four categories are delineated: stress sensitive, stress resistant, stress hypersensitive, and stress resistant with allergic processes. If the animal is classified to one of the group above after the measurement of the papule diameter, the following study is not performed. |
