A dispense system for dispensing a chilled beverage such as beer, lager or cider, has a dispense point 102 with multiple outlets 105a,b,c,d,e connected to separate beverage supply lines 104a,b,c,d,e. Each supply line 104a,b,c,d,e is connected to one side of a plate heat exchanger 107a,b,c,d,e adjacent to the outlet 105a,b,c,d,e and the other side of the plate heat exchanger 107a,b,c,d,e is connected to a coolant supply to cool the beverage to a desired temperature for dispense by heat exchange between the beverage and coolant. Each heat exchanger 105a,b,c,d,e is provided with a solenoid valve 111a,b,c,d,e that opens to allow coolant to flow through the heat exchanger in response to initiation of a dispense detected by a flow sensor 112a,b,c,d,e and closes to prevent coolant flow between dispenses and when cleaning fluid is passed through the supply line 104a,b,c,d,e. The flow sensors 112a,b,c,d,e and solenoid valves 111a,b,c,d,e are operatively connected to a control unit 115 with switches 116a,b,c,d,e for user selection of dispense and cleaning modes of operation. |
