The article has two sides (8, 10) connected to two skirts (2, 4), respectively, where one of sides is equipped with fasteners (26, 28). A ribbon of the fasteners is connected and extends to a left side (16) of one of the skirts, and another ribbon of the fasteners is connected on a right side (20) of another skirt. A loop interconnects the ribbons, where free ends of the ribbons are connected near the former skirt. A connection unit is removable connected to the former skirt, where the ribbons are attached to the former skirt by sewing or adhesives. An independent claim is also included for a combination of two ribbons for attaching an absorbent article to a user.
